Career Summary

Jeff Lyon has over 30 years experience marketing commercial properties throughout the Puget Sound, with expertise in office and retail leasing and development and advisory services. He has represented and acted as a consultant in the region for several financial institutions and local professional services companies.

Jeff merged his family-owned business with Kidder Mathews in 1992. He worked as a broker and consultant until he was named President and CEO in 1999, and was promoted to Chairman and CEO in January 2006. Since then he has been a significant contributor to the success of the organization, including the strategic alignment with a leading international commercial real estate services provider, GVA Worldwide.

Jeff is a certified member of the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute (CCIM). He is a certified instructor in CCIM’s education program and with the State of Washington. He has also been awarded the prestigious Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) designation.

As an active participant in the community, Jeff serves on the Board of Directors for the Economic Development Council for Tacoma-Pierce County and Konnects, Inc. He also serves on the Board for GVA Kidder Mathews, GVA Worldwide, Regional Hospital, ArtsFund, and Heritage Bank.

Jeff is a member of the Real Estate Advisory Board at Washington State University and the Washington Center for Real Estate Research. Jeff has also served as the President of the Washington Association of Realtors and the Tacoma-Pierce County Association of Realtors, and is a two-time past President of Washington's CCIM Chapter.

Education

Jeff earned his Bachelor of Arts Degrees in real estate and finance from the University of Oregon.
