Career Summary

Jan H. Espy is a senior property manager in the Portland, Oregon office.  Prior to joining GVA Kidder Mathews, she worked for Colliers International as a portfolio manager, managing AmberGlen East in Beaverton, Oregon.

Her focus is to develop relationships with her current and future clients by exceeding their expectations and increasing the value of their assets.  Historically Jan has specialized in the management of retail, office and industrial properties in the Portland metropolitan area.  She has been involved in due diligence for property acquisitions, property dispositions, construction management, and land sales in the Sunset Corridor in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Throughout her career, Jan has been responsible for more than 6 million square feet of property.  She has expertise in budget preparation, monthly financial reporting, construction and service contract supervision, capital improvements, tenant improvements, tenant and owner relations, and monthly and quarterly investment reporting.  The majority of her experience has been working with institutional owners.

Jan is licensed as a real estate broker in the State of Oregon.  She is a member of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).  She has been a member of the Portland BOMA Lease Forms Committee for over five years.  She holds the Real Property Administrator (RPA®) designation.  Jan studied sociology at Washington State University and accounting/business administration at Portland State University.
