Project Outline
The Sustainability Practices team developed an assessment of current
sustainability initiatives and recommendations to improve community
programs at the boarding school. The report included an analysis of
current sustainability initiatives at independent schools throughout the
country, as well as a resource list for advancing further initiatives.

How GVAKM Added Value
Since the report was developed, the school has made significant strides
in becoming a more sustainable community. A green team has been
developed to lead sustainability initiatives and a number of steps have
been taken including changes in food service, energy audits to several
buildings and the investigation of solar power.
